How to Repair LED screen (Laptop)
One of the highest failures on new Laptop screen is a LED power supply. Unfortunately, it is part of LED screen assembly. So, in order to solve the problem you MUST replace the whole LED screen. However, It can be replace by our newest and smallest LED driver MS493LEDD.
Step 1
Identify the Supply Voltage (VIN) on LED screen’s interface board.
Look for SMD fuse as shown on the photo below. Please lick the image to see an enlarge image.

Connecting wire between LED interface board and MS493LEDD
Solder VIN to SMD Fuse
Solder GND wire to any of power ground
Shorted all Cathodes on both LED screen and MS493LEDD as shown images below. Solder Andoe and Cathode wires as shown on the images below. Please lick the image to see an enlarge image

How to Disable "ENA"
Remove R1. Add resistorsd on R10 (47K) and R11 (24K)

Direct replacement for LG Philisp LP156WH2 LED Screen
Simply connect LED ribbon cable into MS493LEDD as shown photo and solder "VIN" and "GND" on interface board.

How to connect to LED driver

This LED backlight kit comes with MS493LEDD driver. MS493LEDD LED driver is a custom build DC to DC converter to replacing your existing CCFL lamp inverter. It accepts input voltage between 10V to 20V DC. Connecting the inverter wire to MS493LEDD is not that difficult if you know your inverter’s pin assignment. Here is a procedure:
  • Identify the inverter's part number
  • Obtain the inverter's pin assignment below
  • Connect Red wire to Postive DC
  • Connect Black wire to power ground
  • Connect Green wire to "ENA" (Enable)
